and the winners are...

Wow!  A giant THANK  YOU to all that participated in my birthday blog contest!  Who knew so many people thought it was a good idea to guess a woman's age :D.  For those of you wondering, I turned THIRTY-TWO yesterday.  For those of you that guessed between 28 & 31, THANK YOU :), for those that thought I was 34 or older, I'm thinking my eye cream isn't working the magic it's suppose to :D.  On to the winners list...

I have received a ton of emails this morning, but so far only one correct guess.  The grand prize of a complimentary session has been won, but the $50 gift certificate and the itunes gift card are still up for grabs. So put on your thinking caps and take a guess!  The contest will end at midnight tonight or until the last 2 prizes have been won (whichever comes first).  I will notify the winners by tomorrow morning.  Happy guessing!

it's my bday and YOU get the presents!

That's right, not a misprint, my birthday but you get the presents!  I'm feeling generous in my old age and thought I would share a present or two with you!  So in the spirit of giving (something you'll see A LOT in coming weeks) the first person to email me with the correct age I am turning today will receive a gift certificate good for a regular session!  The second person to email me with the correct age I am turning today will receive a $50 gift certificate good towards prints at a future session, and lastly the third person to send me an email with the correct age I am turning today will receive a $15 itunes gift card.  Send emails to artisticimpressions@new.rr.com, PLEASE add "bday trivia" to the subject line of your email.

school is now in session...

It is so hard to believe that I am the mother of 2 school age children, where did the last 6 1/2 years go?  Last Wednesday in a flurry of excitement and apprehension (on my part more than the children's) my kindergartner and first grader made their way to the bus on their way to the first day of school.  In true crazy parenting style we followed the bus to school to make sure they got off the bus and to their classrooms just fine, and then preceded to meet them at school at the end of the day to make sure they made their way onto the right bus for the ride home.  Today is Monday, 3 whole days into the school year and I'm still not used to how quiet the house and office are. I'm guessing it will be a while before I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate how quiet things are around here. 

The beauty of two children in school full time is I now have several more hours and several more days to conduct portrait sessions.  I know many of you have called in the past only to find out I was booked weeks in advance.  With the new open schedule I hope to eliminate the 4-6 week time frame offering sessions 4 days a week, should offer at least an available appointment within a 2 or 3 week time frame, if not sooner.  My new fall schedule is as follows:

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, sessions available from 9:00 - 2:00
Friday, sessions available from 9:30-4:30

I am currently booked on Friday's through the end of October.  Week day sessions are booked full for September but there are several openings for the month of October.  Please call or email the studio for available dates and times.
