Oh my, I'm not sure where this week has gone, hard to believe it's already Thursday, but by golly I'm really ready for it to be Friday. This has been a crazy week, starting with 2 back to back sessions on Monday and my contractor pulling apart my kitchen to the kids being home all day yesterday... I'm ready for the weekend. Did I mention our very good friends from Chicago are coming tomorrow, along with their 4 children :D. I'm not sure how relaxing the weekend will be but we are all very excited for them to be coming here. We haven't seen our friends since June and miss them dearly.
Speaking of excited, I have had several sessions the last 2 weeks and have some very excited parents waiting to view their sneak peeks. So without further adu... ENJOY!
First is the W sisters, aren't they beautiful! Little E is typical of a 4 year old, very conscience of the camera. At this age they understand what a camera does and how to "act" in front of it. I get a lot of goofy smiles and fake poses at this age, and E was very typical, but in all of that I also got a lot of laughter, fun smiles and a ton of thoughtful looks. I love the one where she is making a face at me, so very true to her age. Truly a stunning young girl, I can't wait to drag these two outside this fall for new portraits! And then there is her little sister M, such a sweet and polite little girl. She is just so bright and was an absolute joy to work with.
Then we have Miss L. I have photographed L several times before, she is always a delight to see. She's hit the age of "stranger anxiety" and it took a bit for her to warm up to me but boy was it worth the wait. She is so full of personality, I can't wait to see her grow over the next several years.
And then there was my second newborn of the year, Baby L. Can you believe the hair she has! She's a beautiful baby and was so very patient with me. These poor babies get all warm and sleepy, just the way I like them, then I snap some pictures and have to move them to a new position, which they have to snuggle into and get all comfy again just in time for me to snap a few pictures, and move them again. I'm always amazed when they put up with me as long as they do. I had the privilege of photographing Baby L's mommy's maternity portraits too. I look forward to a long relationship with the Y family. As a side note to protect the family I have removed identifying names etc. from the fireman's gear.
